The nurse dutifully administers a bolus of tPA. Fifteen minutes later, the patient begins to have increasing dyspnea and begins expiratory grunting. Her SaO2 begins to drop. She is intubated and Levophed is started for hypotension. Soon, you add dopamine and dobutamine to no avail. In spite of valiant resuscitative efforts, you eventually pronounce her dead. Her family blames you and files a malpractice suit naming you and all your assets. During the deliberations, you can't pay your bills and your dog runs away. Oh, if you could only go back in time...
